Why the breath? 

Our breathing responds to the thoughts and actions of our body. An example is when we are afraid our breathing can elevate or even stop.

When we learn to control our breathing we can use this to reverse the breathing response by activating the nervous system, calming our stress levels, and our thoughts.

We can use controlled breathing to manage our pain, especially while doing the myofascial release portion of the Backhealer method.

Learn to breathe. 

Go slow.
Notice your breath.
Practice daily even if for a short time.
Concentrate on the myofascial release parts of the class if you are in pain.
