DAY 9. Cold or Hot?

Generally, we use ice for acute (right now) injuries and heat for chronic (long term) muscle tightness.

When applying cold you are closing the capillaries and shuttling inflammations, and toxins out of the area. Excellent for acute injuries.

When applying hot we are opening the capillaries, increasing the volume of the area, and relaxing tightened tissue.

If you use hot and cold therapies properly you can speed the healing processes of the body.

If you have never tried hot and cold showers it can have a dramatic effect on your body.
