Length'N Strength'N is different from other classes because we focus on the front body. We live in a seated society and our bodies are forward bending mechanisms. This means that our front bodies shorten: jaw, chest, abdomen, hip flexors, and tops of our feet. When these muscles chronically shorten they cause us to lean forward, they then pull on our spines against gravity in an unhappy position. Unlocking the front body and making these muscles suppleallows the tension on our spine to release and then puts our spine in a more neutral position. This will allow us then to unlock the back body.
Our acupressure balls for myofascial release are effective at isolating problem areas in your body enabling you to make permanent changes increasing flexibility and eliminating pain. National stress awareness day- November 3rd
National Stress Awareness Day on the first Wednesday in November aims to identify and reduce the stress factors in your life.
Everyone has stress. Some stress is good for us. It helps us to respond to changes in life. Stress is our body’s way of protecting itself from harm. However, too much stress causes harm to our health and relationships.
Identifying the stressors impacting our physical and mental health is important. Sometimes, health problems are the cause. But our health can also be affected by external stressors such as physical abuse, stressful work environments, financial stress, or other family health issues.
Once we identify the causes of stress in our lives, we can begin to eliminate or reduce stress. Some tools that help with stress include:
Develop coping skills for anxiety.
Identify and let go of the things you cannot change.
Exercise helps us to let go of built-up anxiety.
Eating a balanced diet fuels our bodies so we’re able to better cope with the stress.
Getting started-Develop a routine. Go walking, do some deep breathing, get some exercise, join our Length'N Strength'N class or get bodywork.
As of October 30, 2021, the PHO order on masks in public indoor settings for all people born in 2012 or earlier (9+). Please speak with us about an exemption if you have a health condition that doesn't allow you to wear a mask. You don't have to show proof of full vaccination to have a session.
